Holy Bible

I love the You Version app! I love it when I want to look up a bible verse but prefer the real physical copy when studying. What I love about the app is the daily verse it sends me! It is so cool because some days the verse is exactly what I need to read and it is just proof that the Holy Spirit is working through me! I love it!!

I hate using the built in mail app from IOS, so I use Gmail and it is a lot better.

Do you struggle with letting go? I will be honest, I really struggle. When I am worked up about something or really struggling with something I know God is saying,”Elise, don’t do this to yourself. I will take care of you, you just need to let it go, and let me take care of it.” Giving God control isn’t always easy for me, but I know He working in me to change that. And the peace and relief you feel after letting go is AMAZING! So today I am letting go. Letting go to the things that wear me down. Letting go of the things that confuse and worry me. Letting go of the past. Letting go of fear and doubt. I surrender. I trust that He will take care of me, because I know He loves me more than I will ever know.

I wanted to let you know that I have decided to end my favorite series. So this month is the end. I want to have a little more freedom on posting that day, instead of sticking to a schedule. I still have one more week and it will be about apps so excited to share that!

{FIVE}

I love this! I know for me I get caught up in life that I forget to celebrate and appreciate the little things. For me those are:

My Chocolate Year

I love this book, and have probably read it 5 times! It is a really easy read and funny! It also is a little sad, just to let you know.

Holy Bible

Being a follower of Christ, the Bible is one of God’s gifts to us. I went to CHIC 2015 and Louie Giglio spoke and talked about how the bible (Holy Scriptures) is the breath of God and is our oxygen. So I have been trying to be in the word more lately. I love that the bible can be our answer book and give us great comfort as well!

Red River of the North (and all the sequel series that follow this one)

I love the setting of this series! It is a fictional story of a small town called Blessing in North Dakota! The books are pretty easy to read and really fun! I love them and the next book is coming out this fall and I am super excited!

Hi and welcome to the fourth installment of my Favorite Series! Today we are talking movies! So yeah I am SO picky when it comes to movies and tv shows, and it drives my family nuts. But here are my current favorite movies…

I love the Hunger Games movies (all my friends and family are probably shaking their heads!)! What I love about the franchise is that it is about a girl that changes the world and fights for her family. Usually the movies are about main male characters, but it is nice that now they are coming out with a lot of movies with strong female characters. What do you think of the Hunger Games?

And of course Catching Fire is next! Honestly this was my favorite out of all the movies! What was yours?

Mockingjay Part 1. Whoa this one is intense, and I almost cried. I know I will cry for sure in part 2.

Last one is Hot Rod! I love this movie! If you ever need a laugh, watch this. It is like Napoleon Dynamite but funnier.

My favorite nail polish brand is Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. My nails are weak, flimsy, and split and I love the way the nail polish makes my nails feel. I love the shine and smoothness of the polish. Here is what the bottles look like.

I love the light blue/teal shade of this color. Perfect for spring and summer!

This shade of blue is light (even though you can’t see it very well in the photo) and has a little bit of a purple hue to it. I love this color for spring/summer!

This the first post for my Favorites Series! I have bible verses that I just LOVE and that just make me think or touch my heart. Here they are…

Isaiah 41:10

1 Peter 2:9-

But ye are a elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

This verse just reminds me that I am God’s and that because of His love, I was brought out of the darkness into His marvelous light.

John 16:33-

These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

I LOVE this verse. It reminds me whatever it is that I am going through, God has already overcome it! It gives me hope and helps me not give up.

Joshua 1:9-

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

This verse reminds me to be strong and trust God wherever He leads.

Jeremiah 29:11-

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,” plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I am reminded that even though I don’t know the plan, that God does and that is all that matters.

Psalm 100 (the whole thing!)

This is my favorite psalm, which I read every morning.
