I love this frame! It is so great because when you want to change it you don’t have to erase it and then write, you can just flip it around! These are so easy and fun to do!

What you need:

Chalkboard Spray Paint (you could use regular paint and just use a brush, but it is easier to get it smooth when using spray paint)

IKEA Tolsby frame (which are only a $1!)

Spray paint (color of your choice)

Not pictured: Newspaper

Unwrap the frame and set aside.

Peel the plastic covering off the “glass” and set both of them down on newspaper.

Lay the 2 part frame on newspaper as well.

Spray a thin coat of chalkboard paint on the “glass”. It should dry in about 5-8 mins because it is so thin.

Do the same with the frame.

I did a coat, let dry for a few minutes and then did another coat. In the end I did about 4 coats and them let it dry for a hour or so before assembling and using it.

Done! So simple and cheap, I paid about 8 dollars total!

Ingredients:

Mug

Package of Instant Oatmeal (I used maple and brown sugar)

Flour + Baking Soda

Toffee

Egg yolks + Vanilla + Oil

Start by greasing your mug with cooking spray. Set aside.

Grab a bowl or mixing cup to mix things in.

Add the oatmeal packet, flour, and baking soda. Mix together.

Mix the egg yolk, vanilla, and oil together.

Mix together with the dry ingredients.

Add in the toffee bits and mix together.

Put batter into greased mug.

Microwave it for 1 min.

Done! Top with ice cream and toffee as desired. Enjoy!

Serves 1

I am SO excited about today’s recipe!! So the picture above is cake, all cake, vanilla cake to be specific with butter frosting in the middle, and maple ganache. I will tell you it tastes just like a pancake! It is SO good! Here is how to make it…

Here is what you need to make the ganache:

Cream

Salt

White Chocolate Chips

Maple Flavoring (imitation maple, that you can find at Walmart)

NOTE: I didn’t end up needing to add brown food coloring.

You need to heat the cream up, I did it in the microwave, if you do that just make sure you keep an eye on it. You can also do it on the stove. You just want it to be hot enough to melt the chips.

Once it is hot enough add the flavoring and mix together.

And pour the cream mixture over the chips.

Leave it for 30 sec. and then mix it. It will take a little time for it all to come together. But if some of the chips still haven’t melted, microwave it in 10 sec. intervals until it is all smooth.

Set aside.

NOTE: You need to make the ganache first so it has time to cool.

For the cake you will need:

Cake mix (I used Pillsbury yellow)

Eggs

Oil

Water

First separate the egg yolks from the egg whites. Place the whites in the bowl of a stand mixer and beat until firm-meduim peaks.

Next place the cake mix, egg yolks, water, and oil in a bowl and mix until smooth.

Then add the whites and fold until combined.

Then get your electric griddle on and spray it with cooking spray (you want to spray it a lot, so the panCAKE’s don’t stick). You can also use a non-stick skillet. Also get a 1/4 cup measuring cup, lined baking sheet, and (not shown) spatula.

Place 1/4 cup of batter on the griddle and spread it our gently. Then wait until the bottoms are the color of a pancake. Then when they are ready, flip them in one quick motion.

You will know when they are done by the other side being brown and a cake tester coming out clean.

Place them on a lined baking sheet and cover them with another sheet of baking paper for the next batch. Then do the same thing until all the batter is gone.

When the panCAKE’s are done set them aside to cool and make the “butter”.

Take 2 lemon fruit chews (or whatever you can find that would be shapable), and shape them into a square.

Set aside. Next make the butter frosting.

Take softened butter, and beat it until smooth.

Next add the powdered sugar and mix.

Now set up your space to assemble it all.

Take a plate (I just used a dinner plate), and put a little bit of butter frosting in the middle.

Then place your biggest panCAKE on the bottom and cover with a layer of frosting. Keep doing until all the panCAKE’s are used.

And then to keep it from falling over, put wooden dowels in the top.

Then start pouring the ganache. If it is to thick microwave it in 10 sec. intervals. I started at the top and then pushed it down the sides to look like syrup.

This art is really easy and a cute way to add something new to a room! And I am sure pretty much every girl has nail polish so you probably have everything you need. Here is how to make it.

You need nail polish (I used Sally Hansen’s Miracle Gel), a ruler, pencil, and piece of white cardstock.

For the length you want to make faint marks with your pencil at 1, 2 1/2, 4, 5 1/2, and 7 inches.

For the width mark 2 1/2, 4 1/2, 6 1/2, 8 1/2, and 10 inches.

Then you will want to plan what color goes where. I just put the letter of the color by the mark.

For me the first was gold.

Start by applying a dot of nail polish and drag it out.

Until it is about 1 inch in length.

Next was red.

This is the first row.

Second row.

Third row.

I love headbands and really like when I can add a little something special to them! Here is how to make them.

What you need:

Glue Gun (I used a clipboard to protect my desk)

Fabric Roses

Headband (I used a elastic one)

Embellishments

First you want to plan where you want your roses to go.

Apply glue and stick on your roses.

Then stick more glue between them so they stick together, but make sure you don’t see the glue.

If it is loose in any area add more glue to secure it.

Then add the embellishments. I did 5 on this side.

And 3 on the other.

I love Washi tape! There are really cute patterns and colors but I have heard people just collect it and don’t really know how to use it. Here are 3 easy and fun ways to use Washi tape!

Option #1: Add To A Bottle Top

What you need: Bottle(I used a starbucks frappe’ bottle), Washi tape, Sharpie(if you want to label it), and scissors.

Start on the top of the bottle wrapping the edges of the top with Washi tape.

Wrap around the entire thing and then cut it off.

Push the tape onto the top.

Then taking a few strips of tape (to cover the entire surface) and place on top.

Then cut off the overhang.

Done!

Option #2: Make Homemade Book Markers

What you need: Washi tape, clear tape, and scissors

Take 2 strips of each tape.

Then put the Washi tape strip half-way onto the clear tape.

Then wrap the rest of the Washi tape on the other side.

Done!

Option #3: Spice Up A Card

What you need: Paper (I took white cardstock and folded it in half), Washi tape, Sharpie, and Scissors

Put your folded paper and place tape in whatever pattern you want.

Then cut off the overhang.

Then write your message.

Done!

I saw these on Pinterest a while ago, and thought I would try them. These were easy to make and I think it would look really cool to use different colored pebbles!

Here is how to make them.

Supplies:

Glue Gun

Jar or Glass

Tea Lights

Glass pebbles(I found these by the vases at our local craft store)

Mat(I used a clipboard(plastic) to put my glue gun on to protect my desk)

Step 1:

Plug in your glue gun while you are getting the other things ready.

Get a handful of the pebbles out and get your jar or glass ready.

Step 2:

Take a pebble, apply a small dot of glue and then secure on your jar.

Step 3:

Do it all around the jar until your first row is done.

Step 4:

Start on your second row. I alternated them a little bit, but you can put them in randomly whatever way you.

Do your second row.

Step 5:

Third row.

Step 6:

Fourth row

Step 7:

I was going to stop at the fourth row, but felt like it needed a border, so I added then around the top.

Step 8:

Add a tea candle, and you are done!

This took me about 20ish minutes, so really easy and fun to do!

I wouldn’t really call this a tutorial, just a craft I enjoyed doing! I saw the idea on Pinterest(sorry can’t find the original link), and wanted to give it a shot. I had a lot of fun doing this but I will warn you that if you plan on doing the whole page it will take a while(unless you draw really fast). I didn’t do the whole page, and really liked the look of it! Here is how to do it…

You’ll need:

1 sheet cardstock(I would recommend using cardstock instead of your common printer paper)

A regular and fine tip Sharpie(what ever color, and you can use one or the other I just like have 2 sizes)

A round object to trace around, I used a mason jar(I also got some marker on the bottom of the jar and just wiped it off with a wet cloth)

I put another piece of paper underneath to protect my desk. Start tracing circles around the jar.

Until you filled up the page. There really is no right or wrong way to do this, so just have fun with it and be creative.

Then using the marker, you will want to fill in the sections until it is as full as you want it. I used different patterns, just have fun with it and make it you!

Here is how to make it…

Things you need:

I will show you how to make the banner below.

Styrofoam Wreath (I used a 14′ wreath)

Some small yarn pom poms (I used this tutorial.)

Fabric Roses

Fabric / I used white that I found in the sample bin at the store.

Cut your fabric. I cut it to 6ft x 6in but found that it was too short. Cut the fabric to measure 10ft x 6in.

Start wrapping your fabric around the wreath, overlapping the fabric as you go.

This is where it was too short so I just cut more fabric, to make sure I covered the wreath completely.

Here it is all covered up.

Next plan where you want your fabric roses.

When you are done planning, put a dot of glue on the back of the roses and attach them to the wreath.

Now for the banner:

Cut some burlap into triangles.

Apply letter stickers to each triangle.

Then grab the yarn you made your pom poms with.

Measure about 8-10in of yarn, and cut a piece of each color and then twist them together.

Attach them to the wreath with your glue gun. You don’t have to worry about the yarn appearing, because you will be covering it with the pom poms.

Then glue your triangles to the yarn, and attach the pom poms to the end of the yarn.

Done!
