We had my cousin Christina’s wedding that afternoon, and this was what I wore! I love maxi dresses!

SATURDAY

I had a youth leadership retreat Saturday-Sunday morning. I know super weird selfie, but I was tired and was waiting for the boys to wake up.

After breakfast, talking, and devos we went on the pontoon!

So the boys went for a swim, and just after this picture the boat wouldn’t start for like 15-20 mins. Finally it did but it took some effort!

Maggie and I after our one-on-one soccer match, which ended fast due to me tripping and scraping up my leg, and to this day still have a pretty gross wound. After this we planned for the 2015-2016 youth group year! It was so fun! It is going to be a great year.

At like eleven we played Apples to Apples! If you are wondering, I lost.

Maggie and I slept in the boat house, while the boys slept on the pontoon (they actually said it was awesome!), here was my view falling asleep! And at like 1am the wind blew so hard both doors opened so I had to get up and close them. Ha!

I got up early to get ready for church, can you tell I’m tired?! We went to church then I came home, FaceTimed my friend Megan, and then chilled the rest of the day! How was your weekend?

So we all have things others might not know about us. Here are 10 things you probably don’t know about me…

[ONE]

I am a loud chewer. It’s genetic. Just saying.

[TWO]

So my parents are both from the south so I have southern blood in me, well one thing I do is get cold from the air conditioning. Yes I know. Really weird. Even if it is like 90 degrees I still get cold in the car.

[THREE]

I am a very picky eater. I don’t eat eggs, fat, and fish (with the exception of tuna from a can). I can’t think of anything else right now but I am sure as soon as I hit the publish button I will think of something else.

[FOUR]

When I tell stories I ALWAYS end it with “it was really funny” and my family makes fun of me for it.

[FIVE]

I have my own audience. Maybe some of you knew this, but I say things that I think are so funny you will laugh until you cry, and my family are like “that’s not funny”.

[SIX]

I don’t like things being uneven. Like when I am working with my Dad and painting bricks, I always try to end with an even amount of bricks.

[SEVEN]

I am a VERY messy baker and cook. I love making food but then have to climb Mt. Dishes afterward.

[EIGHT]

I am really bad with scissors, X-acto knife, etc. I can’t for the life of me make a straight line.

[NINE]

I LOVE canned frosting. I know you are like “WHAT?” but it’s true. I’m just being honest.

[TEN]

I’ve already started to listen to Christmas music. I think we need a solid 3-4 months of Christmas. Can I get an amen?

1: I LOVE the Werther’s Original Coffee Carmel Hard Candies! It’s like a latte in candy form.

2: I am excited for Fall! Here is what I am excited for: Fall Youth Group, SCARVES, cool evenings, the leaves changing, and fall activities!

3: After watching the trailer for Mockingjay Part 2, I am not really that excited to watch it.

4: I have been listening to Christmas music in my room since June.

5: Whenever I go get a frozen drink from Caribou or Starbucks, I always put a sleeve on it even though it isn’t hot.

So a few weeks ago, my brother Colin graduated from high school and we had a grad party for him. So here is a little bit of what we did. Note to self: Take more pictures.

Friday:

That morning we had to pick up last minute things at the store, and finish cleaning the house. After we went to St. Cloud we picked up our friends Annabelle and Mia, and dropped Solomon off at their house. I find it funny that it was Colin’s grad party but my sisters and I had friends spend the night and he didn’t. That afternoon we went to the Rec. center to set up.

Once we set up we went home and made about 6 dozen cupcakes. Then we chilled for the rest of the evening. Sophia and Mia get really crazy and hyper when they are together, so yeah they were a little nuts! Ha!

Saturday:

Here is me after I was woken up by a mannequin head shoved in my face. I sure was awake. Not.

Here is me awake at the Rec. center. We were ready and just waited for the guests to arrive.

When we got home we put stuff away, and then we had a big after party which was a lot of fun! And the night ended in a huge thunderstorm (which by the way was AWESOME!), and we noticed our electrical wire was hitting a tree. Yeah thankfully our house didn’t burn down. Over all it was a great weekend!

Hi and welcome to the fourth installment of my Favorite Series! Today we are talking movies! So yeah I am SO picky when it comes to movies and tv shows, and it drives my family nuts. But here are my current favorite movies…

I love the Hunger Games movies (all my friends and family are probably shaking their heads!)! What I love about the franchise is that it is about a girl that changes the world and fights for her family. Usually the movies are about main male characters, but it is nice that now they are coming out with a lot of movies with strong female characters. What do you think of the Hunger Games?

And of course Catching Fire is next! Honestly this was my favorite out of all the movies! What was yours?

Mockingjay Part 1. Whoa this one is intense, and I almost cried. I know I will cry for sure in part 2.

Last one is Hot Rod! I love this movie! If you ever need a laugh, watch this. It is like Napoleon Dynamite but funnier.

What are some of your favorite movies?

1: A couple of years ago my older sister Gillian had some friends over, so the rest of the family had to leave the house. My Dad, Colin(older brother), his friend Alex, Sophia(little sister), and I went to see a movie. On the way to the theatre, Alex told me that green bean spelled backwards spells gullible. Yeah gullible I was, because I spent the rest of the way there trying to figure how that was possible! Now I just laugh at myself!!

2: A little while after we moved into our current house Colin, Sophia, Solomon(little brother), and I were raking leaves. To pass the time up Colin and I thought it would be funny to tell Sophia that she was adopted. Yes it was mean, but we totally had her believe that in fact she was adopted!! So I guess that is one thing Sophia and I have in common!!#gulliblesisters

3: For my 12th (I think) birthday, I decided to make brownies and then I was going to decorate them. Well after I had scooped them into the cupcake liners, I realized that I had forgotten the vanilla (I should say at this point that I was doing the recipe from memory. I thought I knew that recipe like the back of my hand. Turns out, I didn’t) so I took the batter out and added the vanilla, then popped them in the oven. About 20 mins in the baking time, I turn the light on and notice that they don’t seem to be baking. I take them out and try to figure out what went wrong and them it hits me…I forgot the eggs!!  I was so shocked that I forgot to put eggs in!!  Anyway, we ate them but they were as hard as a rock!  Also, unfortunately this isn’t only time I have done this.

4: I remember right before the first Hunger Games came out, my siblings were telling me about the movie. I remember thinking “Wow that is going to be a terrible movie!”, and then a few months later it became my favorite movie! I surprised myself!

5: About 8 years ago on New Years Eve, my parents told us kids that they were expecting Solomon. We were all excited, and Colin and I started coming up with baby names. It didn’t take long to decide on Ima Pig Welch for a girl. Colin and I thought we were so clever. Needless to say my parents hated that name!

What are some of your fondest memories?

I have seen these posts done on a lot of blogs I read(like here and here), and loved the idea. So I thought I would do it too. So here are some weird things about me….

I can’t open up a pop can with it in my hand, it has to be on a table. I have no idea why this is but I just can’t.

I take FOREVER to spread things(like bagels with cream cheese and mayo on sandwiches), and my family makes fun of me for it. I just can’t stand eating something and it being dry in one spot.

I have my own audience. Usually I get a lot of “Oh, thats not really funny”. But lately I have been really funny, so maybe that’s changing?

I talk really loud. Usually my Dad says, “Elise, we are right here”.

I am a high maintenance sleeper. I have a fan to create white noise(I just can’t stand it being so quiet that you can hear your roommate breathing) and a light on(I like to be able to see things if I get up at night).

I LOVE thunderstorms and rain. I know a lot of people are afraid of them but I think they are really pretty and cool.

I don’t like cats. Yes, I went there. They are just moody, and treat you like staff. But I live with 3 of them.

When I make dinner without a game plan, I almost always start with sautéing a onion. They are my favorite!

I love lip products. Chapstick, lipgloss, and lipstick I love it all.

Most days you will find me sporting the top knot or a braid.

I took piano lessons for 3 years, then quit because it just wasn’t for me.

Also my older sister was in ballet for 6 years, so my mom signed me up to see if I liked it. Turns out I hated it.

I am not musically talented, like my Colin(older brother). I got the creative gene. And I love it!

I love the movie Hot Rod. Like really love it. I was too legit to quit!

I have an obsession with office supplies. Target sucks me in! I would go to Office Depot, but I am afraid I will go broke.

I love the TV show Last Man Standing, which my family loved when they were new. They only have 3 seasons on Netflix and I have watched them all 5 times. Colin told me that he was never going to show me another tv show, because I butcher them until new episodes are available!

I can’t drink anything (without a straw) while walking. I feel like I am going to walk into something.

I am addicted to mints of any kind. Icebreakers, Tic Tac, you name it.
